Mike Weselowski
Mike Weselowski is the owner and operator of A Peace of Home Inspections Ltd. His background is in carpentry and construction as a Red Seal Journeyman for over 16 years. He took his home inspection training through Nait’s Carson Dunlop extensive 300-hour program. He is also continually taking courses through the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (Internachi) for professional development. Mike is also the owner and operator of A Peace of Home in Devon Custom Furniture and Construction. (www.peaceofhome.ca) We seek to add peace to the home buying and selling process by not only reporting on the issues in the home that need fixing but also by pointing homeowners to solutions through a web-based database of descriptions and fixes for each area of the home identified as needing attention. Standard Home Inspection
I follow a comprehensive Residential Standards of Practice. This means that I’ll inspect the visible and accessible structure, systems and components of the home, inside and out, from the foundation to the roof, using the latest tools and technology.
Infrared Thermal Imaging Inspection
I use a state-of-the-art infrared camera to find problems that aren’t always apparent to the naked eye. By evaluating the images, I can detect sources of energy loss, locate areas of moisture intrusion, pinpoint dangerous hot spots in the electrical system, and uncover other problems, such as wood-destroying pest and rodent infestations, and flue leaks in the chimney.

This inspection can help you understand and plan for the demands of maintaining your home properly. Some tasks are seasonal, and some items require more frequent attention.
